I OFTEN GO WITHOUT DINNER. DO YOU? EAT IN MORE OFTEN AND SAVE £5 A MONTH TO HELP MALNOURISHED CHILDREN.

Dear <name>,

Each year nearly 11 million children die from preventable causes before their 5th birthday. That’s about 30,000 children dying every day from things like malnutrition, dehydration and malaria – things that UNICEF work around the world to prevent.

Take malnutrition for example. There are many reasons why children around the world become severely malnourished – food shortages, diets that lack the right variety of nutrients, and natural disasters all contribute.

If malnutrition is identified in time, it is possible that a simple paste that tastes a bit like peanut butter can restore a child to health. This ready to eat food comes in sachets that cost about 19p each and a course of this paste has the potential to literally save a child’s life.

And the good news is you can help. You might think that eating out less often won’t make a difference, but saving enough to give just £5 a month to UNICEF could help us reach the most vulnerable children suffering from malnutrition.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, can help children. UNICEF is not funded by the United Nations – we depend entirely on voluntary support so your help really is vital.

Please visit our new site, Ideas to Give, today and do what you can to make a difference to the lives of many children.

Thank you,
Lillian McMahon
